A comprehensive city tour includes visits to residential neighbourhoods at the northern end of the city, visiting the “ Guapulo Mirador”, passing through the 12 of October Avenue up to the Culture House and the Legislative Palace (Congress) where the rock murals that are related to the history of Ecuador can be appreciated.

The tour will then continue through the Gran Colombia Avenue up to the Basilica Church, we will make a brief stop and next the “San Juan Mirador” will be waiting with a beautiful sight of Colonial Quito.

Walking through the colonial streets we will then stop at the Independence Plaza admiring the Cathedral, the Government’s Palace, and the Archiepiscopal palace. Furthermore, we will visit La Compañia Church where adornments and gold altars can be appreciated, a visit to the Sagrario Church and San Francisco which was built in the XVII century will be also done (entrances are not included). Then we will be heading to the “Panecillo Mirador” (entrance is included) a beautiful place from where a sight of colonial and modern Quito will be taken.

After a short visit to the modern part of Quito you arrive at the Historic Center of the city, which has a wonderful lighting at night that charms all of its squares, streets, convents, churches and each of its historical places.

Optional: After the visit you can go to a folk club and enjoy Andean music and a delicious cocktail. Return to the hotel.

Departure to the north part of the city, taking the Manuel Córdova Galarza avenue which will take you to the equinoctial line. The French Geodesic Mission determined this line in the XVIII century. You will be able to “travel” from the south hemisphere to the north by just jumping. At the interior of the monument you will find an interesting ethnographic museum; then you will visit the handicraft shops. Return to the hotel.

Departure from the hotel to the balcony of Guápulo, where you can find one of the most beautiful colonial churches of Quito, built in honor of ‘Virgin of Guadalupe”. You will also see marvellous views of the Quito valleys, and the path that the Spanish conquerors took to discover the Amazon River. After crossing 2 important avenues of the city you will enter the Historical Center of Quito full of beautiful architectural buildings. Admire the "Jacchigua" folkloric ballet that represents the traditions and customs of the indigenous people of Ecuador. Transfer and entrance tickets are included. Return to the hotel after the performance.
